Wisdom considers the wider meaning of a choice. Discernment helps distinguish interpretation from fact. At work these questions can guide analysis: what intention drives the project, what does it promise, what effects does it produce and how does it respond to reality?

Reading the fuller analysis

The Romanian text develops each principle and its applications; the English material explores mentalism and correspondence in particular depth. The texts discuss the Kybalion, parallels with religious traditions and ethical and managerial perspectives. These are philosophical and spiritual readings, with references retained in the linked material.

Seven points of reflection, in everyday language

My research uses the principles as a map connecting knowledge, character and action. Their presentation as seven principles is associated with The Kybalion. I approach them here as a traditional framework and an invitation to reflect, rather than as scientific demonstrations.

Mentalism and correspondence

Mentalism places mind at the centre. In everyday life, I can begin by noticing what I assume about myself, another person or a situation before acting. Beliefs influence what I notice and how I respond; this does not mean that every external event is created by my thoughts.

Correspondence invites attention to relationships between inner and outer life, part and whole. In business, the question becomes concrete: do our stated values appear in meetings, agreements and how we treat people? An analogy can help understanding, but deserves examination before becoming a conclusion.

Vibration, polarity and rhythm

Vibration describes a world in movement in the language of this tradition. As an everyday reflection, I can notice the atmosphere I bring into a conversation and how it changes when I breathe, listen and choose my words.

Polarity explores relationships between opposites. Rather than fixing myself in a label, I can notice degrees between fear and courage or tension and calm. This perspective does not erase moral distinctions or justify behaviour that harms others.

Rhythm draws attention to alternation: activity and rest, accumulation and release, beginnings and endings. Work can be ambitious while remaining sustainable. Understanding a cycle helps me prepare a next step rather than abandon discernment.

Cause and effect; the principle of gender

Cause and effect directs attention towards consequences. What results from how I speak, promise, purchase or lead? Responsibility begins with actions I can change. It does not require assuming that a person is to blame for all the suffering they experience.

The Kybalion describes gender through masculine and feminine polarities of creation. In this reading, I explore initiative and receptivity, proposing and listening. Every person can cultivate these capacities without being assigned a social role on the basis of sex.

A practice for life and business

Choose an actual situation. Write down what you think about it, what you feel, what you do and the consequences you observe. Return after a few days and consider whether these are consistent with your values. Work with one principle at a time.

The longer MediaWiki article retains comparisons with other traditions, examples and references. It is available for deeper study: a map becomes useful when tested against experience and responsibility towards others.

Longer material and sources: Cele 7 Principii Hermetice · The 7 Hermetic Principles

Category: Hermeticism and practice

Continue exploring

Ethics and morality — points for a life in harmony

Spirituality in Business — purpose, integrity and action

Education, initiation and action — towards Satori and Shambhala

Which question will you take with you?

Choose an idea from this material and connect it with a specific situation in your life.
