Conversations with MMS leaders — video and translation

A Modern Mystery School video published on 23 September 2024, featuring Gudni Gudnason, Dave Lanyon and Hideto Nakagome. I transcribed and translated the conversation into Romanian; the complete material remains in the library.

How to watch

Watch the conversation, with Romanian subtitles. You can then read the transcript and note questions you would like to discuss.

Context of the accounts

The conversation presents the participants’ perspectives and experiences of the School, spiritual freedom and contribution. Their personal accounts do not establish outcomes for other people who choose to practise.

How the material is organised

The reference page retains the conversation with Gudni Gudnason, Dave Lanyon and Hideto Nakagome, published by MMS on 23 September 2024. My transcript and Romanian translation make it possible to follow the ideas alongside the video.

A conversation does not always follow the structure of a class. Speakers return to themes, build on each other’s remarks and use personal examples. For a first encounter, follow themes and return to passages that raise a question for you.

Questions to follow

How is inner freedom described? How do speakers connect knowledge with how we live? How do they present lineage, community and responsibility in practice? These questions provide a thread without requiring agreement with every statement.

Distinguish an account of experience, a traditional perspective and a claim needing independent examination. A personal story can matter without describing what every participant will experience.

Video, transcript and translation

Begin with the video, then use the translation for passages that are harder to follow. If wording seems unclear, compare it with the original voice and context. Translation is a bridge to understanding and can be improved when an error is identified.

The entire conversation is not repeated here as a second transcript. The complete text, speaker attribution and video link remain together in MediaWiki so you can continue without losing context.

From listening to your own question

After watching, note one idea that helped, one you disagree with and one needing clarification. This creates room for a real dialogue where curiosity and discernment can work together.

The original material explains that the stories are personal and does not promise other people particular experiences or results. For programmes available here, consult the class pages and discuss the framework before enrolling.
